As part of the Engineering Design program at Rose-Hulman, I spent my third year gaining work experience across several industries.

At Lead-In Record Co., I did Mechatronic R&D for their vinyl record manufacturing system. This involved, designing, and fabricating parts for the robotic vinyl fabricator. I gained valuable skills in mechanism design as well as embedded systems as I worked with stepper motors and microcontrollers to develop subsystems.

At Milwaukee Tool, I worked on the Chargers Team working on Advanced Development for low-voltage battery packs. I conducted research into the feasibility of external airflow cooling and worked to develop an initial design to be used for New Product Development in the near future. This project developed by skills in thermal analysis.

At Vast, I worked on the Human Systems team to assist in the development of interfaces for their commercial space station. This position required me to use open-ended design techniques to improve testing equipment. I also gained skills in static analysis as I used finite element analysis software to conduct deflection studies on flight hardware.
